Good to be photographing again! December 12, 2008
My daughter has the Canon EOS40D, and uses it constantly since she is a dual major and anthropology is one of them. She paid a fortune for it so we were more than a little dismayed when the battery charger went missing. After much seachering, we gave up and ordered this. It is the same charger that came with the camera, so she is up and shooting again. I was very pleased that we were able to replace it with a Canon for such a reasonable price. All other sites we check wanted much more.
Canon is your pick! Don't buy generic! November 25, 2008
Prior to purchasing this battery charger, due to time constraints, I gave into temptation and tried a generic brand. Result: Wasted time, Wasted money and most importantly poor, poor results. If you value your pictures from your Canon camera, buy Canon and only Canon--Amazon had the best cost and my charger was brand new. LUV IT!

I left my original charger in boston. This one got there very quickly so i could photoraph a concert for the band. works perfectly . thanks for the timeliness.
Original OEM Charger October 22, 2008
This is the original OEM charger that came with my camera. I like the indicator lights for 1/2,3/4 and full charge. If the battery starts at 3/4 charge it will not take as long to get to full as the newer chargers from canon that charge for 2 hrs no matter how much juice is already there.

This is a great charger for my Canon G5 camera battery. It only took two(2) hours to charge the battery. The only thing wrong is the colored indicators are a bit deceptive. They are only there to represent what the flashing LED represents. There is only one LED that flashes at varying speeds to indicate the level of charge. It does charge much faster than the charger you have to plug into the camera though. That could be a bad thing because the charger you plug into the camera charges more slowly. But if you need speed and portability this is the charger to get.
